ABSTRACT
We report a 64 year-old woman with a history of 15 years of a verrucous lesion of Chromoblastomycosis. Initially it was confused with warty tuberculosis. Diagnosis was supported by a KOH showing “sclerotic cells” and pigmented hyphae and the causal agent was
Fonsecaea Pedrosoi. She presents some improvement with itraconazole 200mg/day during 6 months and cryosurgery.
Some considerations about differential diagnosis with phaeohyphomycosis are made.
