ABSTRACT
We present the evolution of pregnancy in a patient diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot and pulmonary atresia, not repaired. Pregnant 22-year-old in the first cardiovascular assessment referred personal history, plus the presence of a patent
ductus arteriosus is corroborated. The patient was in functional class II-III of the New York Heart Association, slight cyanosis, with oxygen saturation of 84% confirmed by arterial blood gases, and neuroleptic treatment for paranoid schizophrenia. During pregnancy is not modified functional class, without worsening of cyanosis, and does not develop arrhythmias, thromboembolic events or other complications. At 30 weeks fetal lung maturity is done by cardiovascular indication and pessary is placed preterm labor, retiring four days later by bleeding. Pregnancy interrupted by cesarean section at 32 weeks, maternal benefit, resulting in a preterm newborn, 32 weeks, with a Apgar score of 9/9, and weight of 1600 grams without congenital heart disease. The mother and baby are graduates without complications.
