ABSTRACT
Burns are sinisters not accidents, 90% of cases are caused by repetitive exposure to risk activities due to: lack of preventive culture the entire population, poverty, lack of legal regulations and lack of control of social violence. Medical literature and epidemiological data recorded in the electronic statistical system of the Mexican Health Ministry show that “accidents” and burns are preventable diseases that generate high mortality and disability as well as high health costs of the integral medical care, so it is necessary to be created the intersectorial mexican official norm of prevention and treatment of sinisters that include burns.REFERENCES
