ABSTRACT
Psoriasis ostraceous is characterized by hyperkeratotic plaques similar in shape to oyster shells. The terms
rupioid and ostraceous describe morphological subtypes of psoriasis. We report a 54 year-old male with psoriasis
of the scalp, ears, abdomen, and legs. Treatment with topical salicylic acid and coal tar yielded a
satisfactory response.
