ABSTRACT

It is a matter of time before the chikungunya virus (VCHIK) knocks on our country’s door. This vulnerability of ours is due to that the fact that we have the vector, the appropriate climate, the flow of people from Central America, as well as the presence of outbreaks in the northern and the southern borders. This makes us think… Are we really prepared to face this new threat?
