Fiebre chikungunya. ¿Es acaso la próxima amenaza?

RESUMEN

Sólo es cuestión de tiempo para que toque las puertas de nuestro país el virus chikungunya (VCHIK). Esta vulnerabilidad en la que nos encontramos se debe a que se cuenta con el vector, el clima adecuado, flujo de personas provenientes de Centroamérica, así como la presencia de brotes en las fronteras norte y sur. Esto nos hace reflexionar… ¿estamos realmente preparados para afrontar esta nueva amenaza?
