ABSTRACT
We propose the name subungual pseudohematoma should be considered within the nail changes due to
nail deformities. We remark the importance of this melanonychia, especially if there is differential
diagnosis with the true subungual frictional hematoma and malignant melanonychia.
We report four male patients from 78 to 81 years old, with subungual frictional pseudohematoma secondary to
toes deformity.
