ABSTRACT
We present the case of an acute exanthematous pustulosis reaction,
sterile, pruriginous, generalized, febrile, with leukocytosis
and increase in acute-phase reactants, in a 32 year old woman.
Her only background of importance was the administration of
levonorgestrel for emergency contraception. Diagnosis was
corroborated by histopathology. She had a quick and satisfactory
evolution allowing the integral confirmation of this disease.
This entity is also caused by other pharmacologic modalities
of contraception. This case also reinforces the importance of
communicating the medical community the adverse reactions
shown by new drugs at the slightest suspicion.
