Pustulosis exantemática generalizada aguda secundaria a medicamento contraceptivo de emergencia (anticoncepción postcoital)

RESUMEN
Se presenta el caso de la aparición aguda de una reacción exantemática-
pustulosa estéril, pruriginosa, generalizada, febril, con
leucocitosis e incremento de reactantes de fase agauda en una
mujer de 32 años, sin otro antecedente de relevancia que ingerir
levonorgestrel como anticonceptivo “de emergencia”. El
diagnóstico se comprobó mediante histopatología. Su pronta y
satisfactoria evolución permitió ratificar íntegramente el diagnóstico
de esta entidad, a cuya etiopatogenia habrá que añadir
otras modalidades farmacológicas de contracepción. A su vez,
este caso refuerza la importancia de comunicar a la comunidad
médica las reacciones adversas a fármacos novedosos, ante su
más mínima sospecha.
