ABSTRACT
The nail, like the skin, has inflammatory, neoplasic, traumatic,
infectious and /or secondary diseases, which very often need to
be corrected by a surgical procedure. Nail surgery includes biopsy,
correction of onychocryptosis, tumor removal and reconstruction
of the nail apparatus. It is important to be acquainted
with these surgical techniques to perform therapeutic nail surgery
because it is the only way to prevent dystrophies and to
avoid complications.
