Teacher training and development of abilities involved in critical reading of educational investigation reports

ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to evaluate development of the ability to read critically educational investigation reports in professors of the area of the health working at the IMSS Yucatán Delegation.Objective: to compare achievements teaching of two educational strategies for formation of professors.
Materials and methods: we formed three groups of professors: 14 graduates of the teacher training course (CFP), the first 18 graduates in teaching methodology (DMD), and 14 with no educational training (SF).
Results: we observed statistical significant differences among groups, favoring DMD in global scoring as well as in each indicator for the variable ability to critically read educational investigation reports.
Conclusion: there were no significant educative differences among the groups.
