ABSTRACT
Drug addiction is a personal, family and social problem internationally; in Cuba is not a health issue, but enough for a person to consume drugs for the health system design strategies to combat this situation. Prevention is the main link in the fight against drug abuse and nursing staff plays a decisive part in the prevention, however, in the literature review found that there is no manual on drug targets such personnel based on epistemological aspects of nursing science. For this reason a qualitative study of technological development was performed with the aim of producing a handbook on community nursing drug targets, different theoretical and empirical methods such as document analysis and interviews were used. The universe and the sample; intentionally selected; consisted of 60 nurses working in the clinic Ramón González Coro of Marianao municipality in 2012. The data were processed by SPSS version 13.0 for Windows PC. The results revealed which content should be included in the manual, including the aforementioned classification of drugs, symptoms of consumption, theories, models and nursing actions were found. It was concluded that the identification of the level of nursing knowledge was crucial to choose the topics in the manual where conceptual models of nursing are included. Basic information about drug addiction, Guidelines for the performance of community nursing and Glossary of terms: the manual consisted of three graduate chapters were developed.REFERENCES
