ABSTRACT
Due to the technological advance of the transducers of high frecuency betwen 7.5 and 12 mHz ultrasound, allows us to study musculoskeletal muscle structures in a static and dinamical ways. With the develop of new so- nography contrast media that brings up a better images of muscles, its use is coming back for imaging diagnosis. The sonography contrast media utility has been evaluated for muscle and tendons injuries, and allows to demonstrate scars and partial changes.
9 patients with multiple muscle injuries from different regions underwent to ultrasonography scan, after the contrast media was given to them and observation were performed after 10-15-20 minutes. Ultrasond diagnosis in 5 cases was proved after surgery and/or by other imaging radiological study (artrography). The use of Sonography contrast media allowed us to identify partial injuries and to differeciat between acute and cronical injuries.
