ABSTRACT
A smooth muscle hamartoma consists on a rare benign proliferation of smooth muscle that is usually diagnosed in the neonatal period or infancy.
It is frequently manifested as solitary plaques with a variable degree of hypertrichosis and hyperpigmentation. We present three new cases of this
unusual disease reviewing their clinicopathological findings.
