ABSTRACT
There are several therapeutic modalities in order to treat psoriasis that dermatologist may have be to consider, including topical treatment, systemic
treatment and phototherapy. Among the different modalities, topical treatment is the first link in the approach of the treatment of psoriasis. With
the new advances in dermatology’s therapeutics, psoriasis today can be treated in a more efficient and safetly way. In this brief monography, it
has been systematically reviewed the last studies on the efficacy and beneffit of the different drugs for the topical treatment of psoriasis and also
an update of the classical agents such ditranol and tars. In the same way, it is also highlighted the adverse effects of the different drugs and the
best combinations that improve the efficacy, tolerance and fullfilment of treatment.
