ABSTRACT
Introduction. Everyday life is defined as a set of vital activities repeated to satisfy biological, psychological and social needs. Uncritical familiarity is a everyday life characteristic consisting in the surrounding reality’ naturalization, to be used to every object or process we live with even if undesirable trait is shown at work. Objective: To warm about the presence of uncritical familiarity at health institutions affecting quality of services. Method: Observation to identify external signs of uncritical familiarity in Havana’s health institutions. Results: Suffering from uncritical familiarity means to get adapted to what exist without acting to the change; it denotes a passive attitude, excess of tolerance including sloth and lack of responsibility. Uncritical familiarity diverse expressions were identified; many of these expressions are sign of abandon, deterioration of physical conditions and discipline of working environment, aspects that behoove to the administration. Other signs are related to the services provider that become indolent and to the user that disrespect the institution and behave badly, vulgarly and with excess of confidence.REFERENCES
