ABSTRACT
The need for low demands on the working process was found to be a protective factor of low birth weight when the needs of pregnant and job characteristics are consistent in this regard. It was also demonstrated that the mismatch between the desire of pregnant women to exercise low work demands and perceive high demands constituted a risk factor for the infant was low birth weight. The need for control was not a risk factor for low birth weight.
