ABSTRACT
The initial acces to emergency situations that may need a
surgical resolution; must be done; in almost all patients; with
a simple X-ray of the abdomen. In this study is very easy to
identify the presence of air in abnormal situation; such as
intraabdominal extraluminal, retroperitoneal, intestinal neumatosis,
pathology enfisematosa of infectious origin, in collections
of the type abscess and other allowing to carry out
an IMMEDIATE diagnostic approach in most of the occasions
and avoiding unnecessary studies, establishing the
definitive treatment appropriately, reducing the mortality and
the costs of the attention in these patients.
