ABSTRACT
Over the last two decades the reports of allergic fungal rhinosinusitis
in children have increased, historically mistaken for a paranasal sinus
tumor. Today allergic fungal rhinosinusitis is thought to be an allergic
reaction to aerolized, environmental fungi, usually in an inmunocompetent
host. Presentation in pediatric patients is different from that in adults,
with children having obvious abnormalities of their facial skeleton.
