ABSTRACT
In the clinical-genetic, psychopedagogic and social study of people with disabilities carried out in the Republic of Ecuador by the Manuela Espejo Solidary Mission of ALBA, the informatics working team was in charge of ensuring the processing of all data from the instruments applied. Several processes were developed, as the preparatory visit to the next region where the study would continue, in order to ensure the location and personnel for digitizing the instruments after their application, scanning the instruments received, checking the quality of the digitized data from every instrument, organizing and storing photos of the people studied in the computer application, concluding the work carried out in each province, including the delivery of a final report with all the statistical tables pertaining to the province just studied, and reviewing the data entered into the database. The digital registry of disabled persons in the Republic of Ecuador constitutes a valuable knowledge database that will contribute to the definition and improvement of current and future government policies and strategies to take care of all disabled persons in the country.REFERENCES
