ABSTRACT
This article presents a case report of conjoined twins; the
variant thoracopagus with a diagnosis was made by an ultrasound scan in the second trimester of pregnancy. The
description of anatomical and pathological findings was
carried out and compared with the ultrasonographic imaging.
A brief review of medical literature referring to some
aspects of the etiophatology and diagnosis of these malformations during fetal development is also presented.
