Effectiveness of Itamo Real jelly for the treatment of subprosthesis stomatitis

ABSTRACT
It was performed an experimental research type clinical phase II, during the period November 2008 to November 2009 with the objective to evaluate the effectiveness of itamo real jelly at 20% in subprosthesis stomatitis, phases I and II. As the universe, there were taken all of the patients who assisted to the consult and had suffered from this disease during the referred period. The sample consisted on 100 patients who performed the inclusion criteria and expressed their will to participate. There were evaluated some variables: age, sex, clinical degree of the disease, prosthesis hygiene and response to the treatment. The disease prevailed in the female sex and in the etharian group between 61–83 years old, the treatment with itamo real jelly showed a total efficiency in the level I of the disease and less effectiveness in the level II.REFERENCES
