ABSTRACT
Introduction: The discography has been used as the election procedure to carry out the diagnosis of pain discogenic, however during the realization of the ozonoterapy Intradiscal has been used independently in a routine way of the pain type. The following investigation has as objective to evaluate its effectiveness when the pain is of type radicular.
Methods: For this compared it the traditional discography with ozone; with the administration retrodiscal of the gas. He/she was carried out a clinical controlled test and randomized, have more than enough 200 patients with pain lumbar radicular provoked by hernias you dial them lumbar, which were assigned to two group of 100 in an aleatory way.
Results: The administration retrodiscal of the gas was but effective to corroborate the origin of the pain radicular that the one that the traditional discography with ozone, because it was possible to reproduce the pain, to appreciate the fragment herniation and to visualize the root affected in 97 % of the patients, existing significant difference between both groups (p).
Conclusions: The discography with traditional ozone was not very effective to corroborate the diagnosis of pain radicular provoked by hernias you dial them lumbar.
