ABSTRACT
The treatment of fecal incontinence with Biofeedback has probed its benefits in many ways and in almost all types of FI, (FI). We try to evaluate the use of BFB in IF secondary to small to medium sphincteric damage, twenty-six patients with FI and previous authorization and were studied in a protocol that consisted of 10 sessions with BFB/EMG with alternate electro-galvanic stimulation, they were measured using the FI scale of Jorge-Wexner to the entrance, at the end of the sessions and to the six later months. Results: 26 patients with age average of 41 yrs. (24-65 yrs.), 65% women, 34% males; with previous incontinence time of 11 months (4-16 mo.), initial J-W score 11 (4-16), at the end of the sessions the score was 4 (10-0) and to the six months they stayed this score. Conclusions: The BFB for EMG is a good alternative in the light to medium incontinences, that for some reason it is not suitable the surgery.
