ABSTRACT
Introduction: The laparoscopy nephrectomy is only 22 years ago since it was described by Clayman back in 1990. There have been a lot of published reports about it being in many specialized centers the ideal technique in the treatment of renal cancer in the stages TI and TII.
Objectives: Show the first cases of laparoscopic radical nephrectomy affected by cancer in the stages TI and TII, evaluating complications and evolution.
Material and Method: An observational, descriptive and transversal study took place with 14 patients diagnosed with hipernephromy from December 2005 till December 2012 at Comandante Faustino Pérez Hernández in Matanzas city.
Results: The 14 patients had a surgery using transperitonal laparoscopic, all cases diagnosed with renal cell Carcinoma in stages TI and TII. The average age is 54 years, most of male sex, the post operatory stay was of 2.2 days.
Conclusion: The laparoscopic approach is the most appropriate for the treatment of renal tumors in stages TI and TII.
