ABSTRACT
Chylous ascites is a rare presentation of multiple pathologies.
Most cases are secondary to direct trauma
to peritoneal lymph vessels; however, when it is not,
there are few atraumatic causes
per se, within these
neoplastic ones, from which cases where malignancy
has not a lymphatic origin are sporadic. We report
the case of a patient in who the diagnostic process of
colon adenocarcinoma started with chylous ascites as
the initial manifestation.
