ABSTRACT
Cysticercosis brings about a group of zoonotic parasitic diseases, when it deals with the eye and its appendices, then ocular and periocular cistercosis emerges. It is one of the causes of ocular uveítis and significant loss of vision. The clinical diagnosis is made by direct observation of the parasite. If there are opacities, then the ultrasound technique is the useful diagnostic means. The steroid-related antihelminthic drugs are part of the treatment together with the final extraction of the parasite through pars plana vitrectomy. The most important characteristics of the clinical picture, the diagnosis, the management and the progression and treatment of a patient suffering this disease is presented in this article.
