The frontal bone as an unusual site of renal clear cell carcinoma metastasis

ABSTRACT

We reported the case of a male, 44 year old, with heavy smoking record, in the wake of a one pack a day for 20 years. Eight month ago, after having suffered a moderate direct blunt force injury to the frontal region, He showed a growth, painless indurated lesion and it reached a considerable size through 8 months lapse. After the imaging studies a giant frontal Meningioma was suspected. The patient underwent surgery for resection of the lesion and histopathological study reported the presence of a renal metastasis to the frontal bone. This site is a rare metastases spot, that’s why we share the case for the neurosurgical and medical community.
