ABSTRACT
Elsevier is a leading publisher in Science, Technology and Medicine. In 2004, the creation of Scopus, the most large refereed scientific literature database, established a pivotal moment in the history of secondary information services. However, after continued changes and Elsevier, year by year, has realized a lot of dreams of the information professionals of the past decades. Some of these advances are briefly outlined in this paper, in particular, the Scopus development. Currently, Elsevier is a point of reference of progress required when information systems are concerned.REFERENCES
