Etology and bioacustical in rats and guinea pigs

ABSTRACT
Introduction. The bioacoustics studies the behavior of communication of the animals through sound signs; the four main groups of organisms that use acoustic signs to communicate are the insects, amphibians, birds and mammals. The interpretation of the acoustic signs is on the whole task of some disciplines as the zoosemeiotics, ethology and bioacoustics. The vocal repertoire varies with regard to the animal species and to the place where it is located in the phylogenetic scale and he/she can go from simple signs to ultra frequency like in the insects, until ritual complexes of song like it happens in the melodious birds. The audible and ultrasonic vocalizations have been identified in many mammals infants (rodents, cetaceans, bats, etc.).
Objective. To identify which are the main frequencies and the types of sound signs that use the laboratory animals to communicate and to express diverse states before environmental stimuli and of their conespecific.
Conclusion. Besides the audible vocalizations, the ultrasounds are of real importance in the behavior vocal of goods like that of the rodents.
