ABSTRACT
Clinical Epidemiology of the Epilepsy (CEE) is a very useful tool for the physician, since its application in patients’ care lets offer an integral medical attention, in which the sick person is considered socioecological context in its and not only as one more case of the suffering. The objective of the present study is to revise some principles and applications of the CEE in the clinical practice to attend patients with epilepsy, as well as to look for its practical definition, its parallelism with the scientific and clinical method, the epidemiological surveillance, risk factor search, development of new treatments, clinical studies, among other aspects.
