ABSTRACT
The delay of reinforcement and the delay between a conditional signal (SC) and the opportunity to respond were evaluated using a conditional discrimination task with differential outcomes. A lower change in the discrimination index was observed in the trials correlated with a lower frequency of reinforcement when the delay between the SC and the opportunity to respond was introduced. There were no consistent changes in the discrimination index when the delay of reinforcement was introduced. The findings are discussed based on relative time and resistance to change effects.
