Periodontitis associated with systemic disease induced by orthodontic therapy. Report of a case with Turner syndrome

ABSTRACT
A case of a female patient of 13 years old from Leon, Guanajuato diagnosed with Turner syndrome, who attended the School of Dentistry (FO) of La Salle University Bajio because it presents generalized tooth mobility with activated orthodontic appliances. Dental treatment proposed was interdisciplinary, conducted in phases, which involved pediatric dentistry, periodontics and orthodontics and interconsultation endocrinology specialist to confirm the diagnosis. Treatments were carried out preventive, later in the area of Periodontology, the periodontal treatment was performed including mucogingival surgery with subepithelial connective tissue graft to increase keratinized gingiva and root coverage, the patient was referred finally to resume orthodontic treatment.
