Gingivitis ulcerativa necrotizante Revisión y reporte de dos casos

RESUMEN
La gingivitis ulcerativa necrotizante (GUN) es una entidad clínica caracterizada por una infección aguda con manifestaciones de dolor en las encías, necrosis en papilas interdentales, sangrado espontáneo y ataque al estado general. La GUN es una enfermedad que puede presentar alta recurrencia. El término «agudo» en GUNA es un vocablo que sirve tradicionalmente para describir una entidad clínica, pero no es una clasificación. Como no hay una forma crónica de GUN, se considera que el término «agudo» no debe usarse para referirse a dicha enfermedad. Simplemente, la GUN es un cuadro clínico agudo. El aumento en las líneas de evidencia demuestra que este filo bacteriano se asocia fuertemente con enfermedades periodontales. En estudios recientes, se ha comparado la presencia y niveles de
Synergistetes cluster B, fusobacterias, prevotelas y diversas espiroquetas. En este artículo se reportan dos casos clínicos. El objetivo de este artículo es hacer una revisión de la etiología, características clínicas y la presentación de dos casos clínicos.
