Necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis. Review and report of two cases

ABSTRACT

Necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (NUG) is a clinical entity characterized by manifestations of acute infection with sore gums, necrosis of interdental papillae, spontaneous bleeding and malaise. The GUN is a disease that can have high recurrence. The term “acute” in GUNA is a term traditionally used to describe a clinical entity, but is not rated. As there is a chronic form of GUN is considered that the term «acute» should not be used to refer to the disease. Simply, the GUN is an acute clinical picture. The increase in lines of evidence demonstrates that this bacterial edge is strongly associated with periodontal disease. Recent studies have compared the presence and levels of cluster B Synergistetes, Fusobacterium, prevotelas and various spirochetes. In this article two cases reported. The aim of this article is to review the etiology, clinical features and presentation of two cases.
