Tuberculosis pulmonar con baciloscopías negativas (Bk-) en adulta mayor

ABSTRACT

It is shown up a case of lung tuberculosis with negative BK, in a 60 year-old patient from the “Benéfico Jurídico ‘s Neumological Hospital” where it is revealed the importance of always thinking of this illness before persistent respiratory symptomatology, taking into account that for its diverse forms of manifesting it has been described by the classics as the “great faker”. In this case where the epidemiological antecedents were not picked up, the clinical presentation was atypical and the BK were negative, it was suspectedthe entity by the radiological presentation in the Computerized Tomography of High Definition and the confirmation of the diagnosis was carried out by microbiological cultivation.
