Meconium periorchitis. A case report

ABSTRACT
Meconium periorchitis (MP) is a rare disorder caused by fetal meconium peritonitis with
subsequent spillage of meconium into the scrotal sac.The case of a five days patient with a big
abdominal tumor is reported that affects right inguinoscrotal region from the birth with
infectious toxic state that make worse.This patient was operated in the Provincial General
Teaching Hospital Dr. "Antonio Luaces Iraola" Ciego Avila, where periorchitis in advanced state
is confirmed, secondary to meconium ileus with testicle of the side affected in nonfunctional
state and septic state that causes the new born death.
