ABSTRACT

The congenital anomalies of urogenital feminine apparatus outline numerous problems, from temporary or definitive inability for the fecundation, until the partial or total mutilation of the feminine organs as it happens in the adolescence when low septum or vaginal agenesis exist with uterus and ovaries, hematocolpos, hematometra and acute hematosalpinx formation. The prevalence is difficult to be calculated because most of the presentations are isolated cases. The incidence is considered between 1% and 5% in all the womens, the internal genital anomalies are associate with ipsilateral renal agenesis in 20% of women with mullerian’s anomalies. Multiple surgical procedures exist for the correction of the vaginal agenesis; the fasciocutaneous pudendal thigh flap is a safe, simple and reliable option to create a neovagina in a single surgical time.
