ABSTRACT
Introduction. Motivation is defined as: “the reason for an individual to act and behave in a certain way. Motivation is a combination of intellectual, physiological and psychological processes”. There are different theories to describe human behavior, such as “Theory X” and “Theory Y”. Studying motivation requires reviewing different theories and authors, such as two factors theory; three impulses one, theory of existence, relationship and growth, Maslow’s motivational theory, etc. Material and method. For studying motivation, with a health services approach for this paperwork, we applied the Spranger Questionnaire to a nursing personnel, administrative and physicians in a main hospital in Mexico. Conclusion. Hospital Juarez de Mexico, as an organization, has the two most important motivators: social approach (fulfill patient needs – assistance to individuals) and theoretic approach (acquisition of formal knowledge).REFERENCES
