ABSTRACT
Objective. To identify Susceptibility Markers in patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD), transplanted at the Hospital Juárez de Mexico from 1991 to 2005.
Material and methodology. The present study is observational, retrospective, transverse, biomedical, no experimental . The files and the HLA results of the patients were analyzed. We include the patients with ESRD who were subjected to live donor renal transplantation , in the period from September 1992 to September 2005.
Results. 111 files of patients with ESRD who were subjected to live donor renal transplantion were revised , and we obtained their specific HLA. For the HLA class I we found the A2 in 69 patients (62.1%). For the B35, 44 patients (39.6%); B5, 24 patients (21.6%). For the HLA class II the most frequently were DR7, 31 patients (27.9%); DR1, 24 patients (21.6%); DR4, 20 patients (18%); DR11, 18 patients (16.2%). DQ7, 31 patients (27.9%); DQ2, 26 patients (23.3%), DQ5, 21 patients (18.9%); and other less frequent as the Dw4 that was only found in one patient that represents 0.9% of the included patients (n = 111).
Discussion. The antigens related with ESRD referred in the literature are not the most frequent in our studied population and they do not present high relative risks. In our mestizo population we found factors that contributes to the disease, and other protective antigens, these last ones with statistical significance.
