ABSTRACT
Initially described by Fagge in 1869, Mondor’s disease is a rare entity, in which appears a thrombophlebitis in the subcutaneous region of the thoracic wall, the vein that is frequently involved is the thoracoepigastric. It is an auto limited disease and usually disappears after a couple of weeks. The diagnosis is basically clinical and is carried out by means of a thorough interrogation and physical examination. The image studies will be helpful to corroborate the diagnosis and to study the lesion in detail. The aim of the treatment is to reduce the symptoms with analgesic and anti-inflammatory therapy. This disease is usually self-limiting and disappear completely over the weeks. We present the case of a patient with right breast pain located in the lower outer quadrant accompanied of subcutaneous cord with fibrous consistency.
