ABSTRACT
A literature survey on primary antiphospholipid syndrome was conducted in order to provide an updated information as reference tool to guide diagnostic and therapeutic actions, aimed at treating pregnant women with this autoimmune disease and at decreasing not only the incidence of the thromboembolic disease in pregnancy, but also the pregnancy loss, preeclampsia, uterine growth retardation, which will contribute to the reduction of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality.
