ABSTRACT
Juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibromas are the most common benign nasopharyngeal tumors. They appear more frequently in young males. The most common symptoms are nasal obstruction and epistaxis. Juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibromas are benign tumors, but they grow destroying the osseous structures of the nasopharyngeal region until they erode the cranial floor. They recur with a rate of 35 to 57% after incomplete surgical excision. Differential diagnosis should be made with hemangiopericytoma, solitary fibrous tumor, hemangiomas, schwannomas and fibrous histiocytoma.
