ABSTRACT
Making a series of conceptual and practical considerations, this paper discusses what the current state of psychology is, showing the events that have brought it here and the circumstances that kept this condition, reflecting on the scientific and its technological importance: its use, effectiveness and credibility. It concludes by indicating what are the development alternatives and consequences of taking certain paths.
