ABSTRACT
This paper
aims to discuss and analyze the role of mathematics in
neurodevelopment, for which discusses the historical, ontogenetic
and physiological bases involved.
The methodology of this paper is a deductive analysis, describing
from the use of mathematics in ancient cultures to the specialization
of brain regions.
Sensory perceptions are useful for the acquisition and development
of cortical functions thus sensory stimulations is essential for the
maturation of specialized neurologic functions.
