ABSTRACT
Mivacurium chloride, a short-acting nondepolarizing neurumuscular agent is recently in use. It’s a bis-benzilisoquinolinium diester compund, with a recomended dose of 0.15-0.2 mg/kg
-1 provides good intubating conditions in 2.5 minutes after injection and has a duration of 15-30 minutes, for this reason, its has been recomended using with infusion rate in intermediate’s surgery with no haemodinamic repercussion in myastenic, anephric, geriatric or hepatic failure patients. In these cases the duration of this substance must be prolonged. It is shown a case in a geritric emergency appendicetomy with plasmatic cholinesterase deficience.
