ABSTRACT
The presence of an ectopic kidney is unfrequently diagnosed due to the fact that this condition in most cases presents
without symptoms, and it has been rarely reported in medical literature worldwide in association with diaphragmatic
hernia. We present the case of a female infant with right diaphragmatic hernia along with an ectopic intrathoracic
kidney, which was successfully corrected using thoracoscopy with favorable outcome in long term follow up.
