ABSTRACT
Among the benign bone tumors dependant of the tubular and long bones, the periosteal chondroma is the most
common. Its most frequent presentation is on young adults, being rare on pediatric age. The description of the case is an
infant who developed a right asymptomatic intrathoracic tumor. It is approached as a probable malignant tumor with
clinical and radiological specialized studies, minimal invasion biopsy and once with an assured diagnosis, an en bloc
resection with prosthetic mesh on rib cage. During the evolution of the case it is reported asymptomatic, showing the
important of multidisciplinary handling for the adequate solution of the pathology
