ABSTRACT
The term proteostasis has been used to define protein homeostasis within the cell. This concept comprises the study of individual proteins, starting from their synthesis, localization and function, and continuing with their half life time and degradation. The proteostasis also deals with group protein activity, analyzing which proteins function in a working network. When the proteins interact forming a network, they produce information fluxes through diverse components. The efficient coordination of proteins during information fluxes is required for the correct cellular function and survival.
