ABSTRACT

The coagulation system allows vascular blood flow with an equilibrium of both anticoagulant and procoagulant factors. Inflamation plays an amplifiyng role in venous trombogenesis at the microcirculation level. Endothelium may became activated by the influence of chemical or physical injuries increasing the endothelial expresion of tissue factor, citokines, adhesion molecules, increasing the thrombogenic risk. The main thrombogenic acquired factor is the presence of antiphospholipid antibodies.
